FEI SF Chapter Invited Josette Ferrer to Speak on Valuation Issues Through a Company’s Lifecycle

    On March 19, 2015, Josette spoke to the San Francisco chapter of Financial Executives International (“FEI”) on valuation issues for companies in varying stages of operation. Topics covered included:

    • For start-up / early stage companies – valuation approaches considering lack of financial history / product or service in development; stock option-related valuations
    • For growth and mature companies – purchase price allocation considerations (including valuations of inventory, property and equipment, intangible assets, and deferred revenue)
    • For public companies – updates on considerations related to recent Public Company Accounting Oversight Board reviews and SEC comment letters; best practice suggestions related to audit reviews associated with valuations
